Fusing elements of neo-soul, RnB, jazz and her Tongan roots, Emily Muli's eclectic sound continues to reach new heights. Heiress to a generational legacy of musical story-telling left by her late grandfather, Emily has journeyed from humble beginnings to becoming a multi-instrumentalist, budding producer, experienced performer and singer-songwriter.
In 2018, Emily featured on the Chillhop Summer Compilation with "Stuck", a track produced by Chicago-based producer Eli Way. She then went on to tour New Zealand as the opening act for R&B soul-singer and Kiwi music royalty, Aaradhna, during her 2018 Winter's End Tour.
In 2019, Emily released her debut single, "Rhythm & Truth", a soulful track knitted with colours of jazz, R&B and self-empowerment. In 2020, she released "Self-Care" in the middle of lockdown, earning her first Pacific Music Award nomination.
She was awarded the Phillip Fuemana Most Promising Artist Award at the 2021 Pacific Music Awards. Her single “Break”, released at the end of 2021, earned her another two nominations at the 2022 Pacific Music Awards, where she was awarded the Best Pacific Female Artist Award.
