Kiwi Tongan singer Emily Muli up for four gongs at Pacific Music Awards
Kiwi-born Tongan singer Emily Muli wants her music to make a difference in the young indigenous community. The 27-year-old Māngere Bridge resident, with ties to Fua’amotu and Kanokupolu in Tonga, is up for four of the 13 awards at the upcoming Pacific Music Awards in August. Read more here.

Emily Muli took the first award of the night with the Philip Fuemana Most Promising Artist award. “Honestly, it feels really overwhelming,” Muli told reporter Hanalei Foliaki backstage. “It feels like a challenge, to be awarded Most Promising Artist, but it feels like a good challenge.
